Lanai - The Luxury Island

The smallest of the inhabited islands is a place of contrasts. In former times it was a single pineapple plantation. Today Lanai has two luxury resorts that leave nothing to be desired and two championship level golf courses.

In contrast, the rest consists of untouched nature and lonely beaches. In the interior of the island there are many traces of Polynesian culture. A bizarre landscape of red lava stones can be found in Keahiakawelo, also called "Garden of the Gods". Lanai is also accessible by boat from Maui.
